Romana Wilson's formal garment education started with her high school education, where she attended specialty school focused on education in textiles, pattern making, construction, and sewing. The next step in her education was a bachelor program at the Academy of Art Architecture and Design in Prague. She studied fashion design under the leadership of Josef Taptuch, who was formerly a designer under Pierre Cardin. After graduating Romana moved to Istanbul where she attended the Mimar Sinan Guzel Sanatlar University. She was offered work as an assistant designer to Elif Cigizoglu, a luxury couture brand in Turkey. She considers this one of the most fruitful periods in her career for expanding her fashion business knowledge. She was introduced to the American fashion industry while working for Oscar de la Renta in New York City. She is currently the RTW designer in Of Whonder, a luxury high-end brand located in NYC.
